For over 10 years, Marcus has also been the resident Ballroom and Latin dance teacher at Sussex University. He delivers his high-end dancing lessons for the ‘Strictly Sussex Ballroom and Latin Society’, which he helped found over 10 years ago.

About the society
Over the 3 years he has his students (the average timeframe for an undergraduate degree) he will teach each cohort of students 8 out of the 10 Ballroom and Latin dance styles.
Some of his University students have gone on to take Ballroom and Latin dance exams with him, as well as compete in Ballroom and Latin dance competitions, and even appeared on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing as back up dancers. The society puts on excellent social events, including laser tag, which is Marcus’ favourite, as well as nights out in Brighton and hosting their own dance events where they have performed Sambas, Paso Dobles, Jives, Rock n Roll, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Charlestones and many more!

The dancing lessons take place on Wednesdays on Sussex campus and last for two hours, followed by drinks in Falmer bar afterwards.
